This was written and posted a long time ago by the very beautiful and successful Goddess Farrah of GoddessFarrah.com. It of course still holds true. This is the kind of advice that never goes out of style, from a person who is eminently qualified to give it.

Pricing our listings has ALWAYS been such a hot topic here, I don’t
think it is because we do not agree we are worthy, but I think it is
so hard to decide what we are worthy OF. I think of it this way:

**Guys will pay $5 for about three minutes of porn in a booth at an
adult bookstore ($1.67 per minute). They have very little feedback
about what they are seeing, and most porn really is pretty lame
(find hole, insert, repeat).

**Guys will pay at minimum $20 for a 3 and a half minute lap dance
in a strip club where they are NOT allowed to touch the
lap “dancer”, and the stimulation is purely visual (if guys sought
out visual ONLY, phone sex would never have had the popularity that
it does). ($5.71 per minute). This is a “dance” out in the general
area of the club, if they want a booth or vip it certainly costs
about double that, not including drinks, cover, and tips.

**Guys will pay $500 per hour for a LOW/MID GRADE out call escort in
most major cities. (8.33 per minute).

**Guys will pay $1000 for about an hour with a legal prostitute in a
Nevada brothel. (16.67 per minute)

**Guys will pay $160 per hour for a session with a “Dominant” at a
walk in BDSM house. Manual release is not always allowed.I put it in
quotes because many men I have spoken with say this service often
leaves much to be desired, due to lack of enthusiasm by the “working
girls” in these types of establishments- THEY HAVE NOT BEEN TO SEE
OUR DOROTHY @ HER PLAYSPACE I AM SURE. (2.67 per minute)

**Guys will pay $260 per hour for a session with a submissive NO
BODY MARKS ALLOWED. ($4.33 per minute, pay attention ladies with .99
submissive listings!!! submissive does not mean cheap)

**I personally know a few Dominants who charge $500 per hour for a
session. ($8.33 per minute)

**To do a photo shoot involving sex toys in what is considered
the “penthouse” style, a model is paid $250-750 per hour, depending
on her look and if she has a “name”. ($4.16-12.50 per minute)
Playboy style models make at least $150-$250 per hour with no leg
spreading or suggestive poses. ($2.50-$4.16 per minute) (NOT
PLAYBOY models, tho, trust me-playboy pays a lot less than you would
expect- hardly anything unless you are a centerfold) Porn actors
doing boy/girl or girl/girl scenes make about 700-1200 for a 4 hour
shoot not including make up time. ($11.67-$20 per minute) This
figure I am not 100% sure on because the person that I spoke to
about it has not been active in the porn industry for a few years,
but it should be close.

**More points to ponder: Women make on average .70 cents to every
dollar a man makes with more upkeep involved: hair, makeup, monthly
tampons and birth control pills (men do not have to pay for either).
Also, we get charged more for dry cleaning, car repairs, home
repairs, health insurance and health care costs. To me, this means
that men have WAY more disposable income than the average woman.
Also, what price can a monogomous man put on safe variety? How much
would a divorce cost? Isn’t using the phone/webcam/internet a lot
cheaper than child support and alimony while STILL satisfying what
many men say is an incessant urge for VARIETY?

**A man will shell out on average $100 for a date (where “busting a
nut” is a roll of the dice, he may get a little, he may get denied).

In my case, I am a lifestyle Dominant (if you have seen my listings
or site). I base my prices off the following thought: Most of the
guys I speak to would have a hard time having a conversation about
their fetish with someone in their personal life, not to mention the
fact that they could put YEARS and lots of money on dates, gifts,
etc for a girlfriend/wife, only to bring up “hey, can you make me
dress like a sissy & force me to gag on your strap on?” and have the
girlfriend/wife be disgusted by it and simply leave him. The
emotional AND financial price would be MUCH huger than $3 a minute.

So what service do YOU provide? If you do phone sex, aren’t you more
personal that watching a porno? If you do webcam, and the guy can be
the director, aren’t you worth what porn actors make? At least more
than $1.00 per minute, right? If you do Dominance, how much thought
and effort do you put into outfits, props, or slave assignments,
isn’t that service at least equal to, if not better, than the
Dominance someone would get at a BDSM playspace? Are you a “sure
thing” (i.e. DOES HE GET OFF??) more of a sure thing than a date?
Put that together with the fact that men really do have more
disposable income, and then set your prices ladies (AND GENTS, TOO!)
Obviously charging 4,5 or 12 dollars is not really an option, but
really think about what someone is getting out of the service you
provide. This is a female dominanted work force, men band together
and unionize to get fair pay. I have nothing but love for most of
the ladies on NF, even if they feel they should charge less that I
would
for their listing. But if EVERYONE charged a bit more, it would be
the “norm” and expected.
