I love Lunarpages! In four and half years, I’ve hardly EVER experienced any downtime. They offer tons of bandwidth and storage which they are always increasing, plus right now they are giving a free domain name for life (as long as it’s hosted with them) and a full package of FREE CoffeeCup software which includes a website builder, CoffeeCup webcam and a bunch of other stuff. They have tech support & sales support via toll free phone number plus if you submit tickets online they always respond promptly. They give you a bunch of free scripts which you can install with one click, including Wordpress. The package with all the one click scripts is called Fantastico and Fantastico is part of the CPanel hosting package that Lunarpages offers. If you are new to owning your own site & having your own hosting account, I suggest you do some reading on CPanel & Fantastico as compared to other hosting control panels before you decide where to host. Cpanel/Fantastico is one of the simplest to use and feature-rich control panels out there for virtual hosting clients. LilacPixels offers some very sound recommendations for those who are contemplating hosting for sites that will incorporate WordPress blogs (you mean you’re not planning to use WordPress?!?!?! *wink*) I think her page is a must read.
